😳 *WHY?* ❓❓

*Why is International Stuttering Awareness Day observed on 22 October?*

International Stuttering (Stammering) Awareness Day is observed every year on 22 October. It was first held in the UK and Ireland in 1998 to raise public awareness of the challenges faced by people who stutter — about 1% of the world’s population. Stuttering disrupts the flow of speech through repeated or prolonged sounds and blocks; understanding, patience and speech therapy help people who stutter communicate with confidence.

🤔 *HOW IT WORKS?*
How does the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) work? 🌫️

* GRAP is an emergency action plan to tackle air pollution in Delhi-NCR, enforced by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM).

* It has four stages linked to Delhi’s AQI: Stage I ‘Poor’ (201–300), Stage II ‘Very Poor’ (301–400), Stage III ‘Severe’ (401–450) and Stage IV ‘Severe+’ (above 450).

* Stage I steps include dust control at construction sites, mechanised sweeping and water sprinkling, checks on polluting vehicles and a ban on open burning of waste.

* Each higher stage adds stricter curbs, while the measures of earlier stages continue to apply.

* CAQM can invoke a stage in advance, based on air quality forecasts, to prevent AQI from slipping further.
