🤔 *HOW IT WORKS?*
How does an Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS) work? 🚗
* AEBS uses radar, cameras or both, mounted at the front of a vehicle, to constantly watch the road ahead for vehicles, pedestrians and obstacles.
* A computer calculates the distance and closing speed to judge whether a collision is likely.
* It first warns the driver with sounds, lights or vibration if a crash risk is detected.
* If the driver does not respond in time, the system applies the brakes automatically to avoid the crash or reduce its impact.
* India’s draft rule proposes AEBS for all new car models from October 2030 and for models already in production from October 2032.
