New Delhi:MICRO Leasing financial hardship case A former employee of MICRO Leasing and Funding Ltd. has approached the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), seeking urgent intervention in a matter that he claims has pushed him and his family into severe financial hardship.
In a written representation addressed to the Prime Minister’s Office, Mohan Raghavan Nair alleged that he and his wife were associated with MICRO Leasing and Funding Ltd., a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC). According to the complaint, Nair had worked as a manager at the company’s Pandalam branch in Kerala, while his wife, Pushpa Mohan, was working as an Area Marketing Officer at the company’s Surat branch in Gujarat.

The complaint, dated April 29, 2026, alleges that the company subsequently defaulted on payments to local depositors. Nair stated that he came under considerable pressure from members of the public and depositors and decided to take a personal bank loan of ₹45 lakh by mortgaging his house.
According to his representation, the money borrowed from the bank was used to repay the company’s depositors. He claimed that, in consideration of this payment, the company executed a Special Power of Attorney on November 5, 2018, permitting him to sell or transfer a flat belonging to the company in Pandalam Village, identified in the complaint by Re.Sy. No. 242/7/1, so that he could recover the losses incurred by him.

Nair further stated that he subsequently paid ₹4,35,042 towards adjudication and other legal formalities related to the flat. However, he alleged that in January 2024 he discovered that the property had been attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The alleged attachment, according to the complaint, prevented him from selling the property and recovering the money he had borrowed to repay the company’s depositors. As a result, he claims that the bank loan continued to place a heavy financial burden on him.
The complainant has further alleged that his own house was eventually attached by the bank because of the outstanding loan. He stated that he was left with no financial resources and that his lifetime earnings had been spent in connection with the repayment of the company’s depositors.

In his representation, Nair also claimed that he was being penalized for the alleged mismanagement of the company despite having personally attempted to address the grievances of depositors. He said that the bank loan taken to protect the company’s reputation and the interests of depositors had resulted in a massive debt burden.
With the flat under attachment, Nair said he was unable to sell the property and use the proceeds to clear his debts. He described his situation as a serious financial crisis and sought government intervention.
The complainant has requested the PMO to investigate the matter and direct the concerned authorities, including the Enforcement Directorate and the Ministry of Finance, to review the attachment of the property situated in Pandalam Village under the referenced survey number.
He has also appealed for assistance in getting his house released from the bank’s attachment, stating that he and his wife had invested their lifetime earnings in building the house.
The representation carries a PMO Seva Teerth DAK Section receipt stamp dated April 29, 2026, indicating receipt of the communication by the Prime Minister’s Office.

The allegations contained in the representation are those of the complainant and would require verification by the competent authorities. The complaint has sought an official examination of the circumstances surrounding the property attachment, the company’s alleged payment defaults and the financial liabilities claimed by the former employee.
The matter now raises questions over the circumstances in which an employee allegedly took a substantial personal loan to meet depositor-related liabilities and subsequently became embroiled in property attachment and debt proceedings. The complainant has appealed for an appropriate inquiry and relief from the authorities concerned.
