Kanpur 07January*One more good news for “Food Lovers” of Kanpur city.

The Kanpur Smart City limited in association with the Kanpur Nagar Nigam is bringing up the “Kanpur Food Court (KFC)” at open near Palika Stadium & Brijendra swaroop Park.

Nagar nigam has identified this area for setting up of food court”.

It’s a new concept for kanpur wherein the “Best & Famous Food Varieties” of kanpur city & nearby areas will be made available at KFC.

It will be developed on the pattern of “Chappan Dukaan “ of Indore & “Mishti Hub” of Kolkata.

The kanpur Smart city has started working on it .

Commissioner kanpur and Nagar Ayukt along with the Nagar nigam & Smart city team visited the work site & took progress review of the project.

The physical progress of the project as of now is 25%.
The project is planned to be completed in next 4 months (by April 2023).

Important features & facilities that would be available for “Food Lovers” at the Kanpur Food Court (KFC) are :

1) Around 62 food & eatery shops would be set up at one place.
They will be in the form of Kiosks made with iron sheets or fibre sheets which are temporary in nature.

2) All Famous & signature Food items like Sweets, Chats, Namkeens, Kulfi, Tea, Paan & other fast foods would be made available at one point.

3) Sufficient parking area is planned for 50 Cars & 100 motor bikes in the area . If required, more will be panned in future.

4) Central Sitting area , Green area , Fun zone for kids, Separate toilet blocks for men & women is planned in this area.

5) The Set after completion would be run by 3rd party on the Operation & Management (O&M) basis.

6) There would be a Management Commitee under the chairmanship of CEO smart city with Apar Nagar Ayukt, Chief food inspector and a officer nominated by DM as members for effective management & running of the KFC.

7) Looking into the need , Commissioner also directed to widen the internal road from two lanes now to 4 lanes so that it can effectively handle the traffic for the KFC & the Palika Stadium (TSH).

8) A small Management office & A space for Police Chowki with Temporary metal or fibre sheets would also be set up for smooth functioning & security of the area.

9) Greenery with Land Scape & plants would be developed around the make shift kiosks & near Parking areas.
