नई दिल्ली20अगस्त25*ऑनलाइन गेमिंग संवर्धन एवं विनियमन विधेयक, 2025 बुधवार को लोकसभा में हुआ पास*

केंद्रीय मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने विधेयक पेश किया, जिसे बुधवार को केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने मंजूरी दे दी।

वैष्णव द्वारा विधेयक पारित करने के लिए प्रस्ताव रखे जाने से पहले, अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला ने सदन से पूछा कि क्या वे सदन में विधेयक पर चर्चा के पक्ष/विपक्ष में मतदान करना चाहते हैं।
यह विधेयक, जो ऑनलाइन मनी गेमिंग प्लेटफॉर्म पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का प्रस्ताव करता है, अधिकारियों को बिना वारंट के तलाशी और गिरफ्तारी का अधिकार भी देता है। यह केंद्र सरकार को ऑनलाइन गेमिंग की जाँच का दायरा “किसी भी स्थान” तक बढ़ाने का अधिकार देता है – जिसमें कंप्यूटर सिस्टम, सर्वर और संचार उपकरण शामिल हैं।
यह विधेयक व्यक्तियों, विशेषकर युवाओं और कमजोर वर्ग को ऐसे खेलों के प्रतिकूल सामाजिक, आर्थिक, मनोवैज्ञानिक और गोपनीयता संबंधी प्रभावों से बचाने का प्रयास करता है। यह डिजिटल तकनीकों के ज़िम्मेदार उपयोग को सुनिश्चित करने, सार्वजनिक व्यवस्था बनाए रखने और जन स्वास्थ्य की रक्षा करने का भी प्रयास करता है।

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, was introduced in Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw tabled the Bill which was cleared by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday.
Before Vaishnaw moved for the passage of the bill, Speaker Om Birla asked the House if they wanted to vote for/against discussion on the bill in the house.
The bill that proposes banning online money gaming platforms, also empowers authorities to search and arrest without a warrant. It gives the central government the authority to extend the scope of investigations into online gaming to “any place” — including computer systems, servers and communication devices.
The bill seeks to protect individuals, especially youth and vulnerable populations, from the adverse social, economic, psychological and privacy-related impacts of such games. It also seeks to ensure responsible use of digital technologies and to maintain public order and protect public health.
